Flora Martínez is a Canadian- Colombian actress and singer best known for starring in films such as “Rosario Tijeras”, “Breath of life”, “Violet of a Thousand Colors” besides many succesful TVs Series in South America. Her many hits made her recipient of several best actress awards in Spain, France, Monaco, Colombia.
After 25 years of career, Flora returned to her first two passions: Theatre and Music. Her own theatrical production “Frida Libre”, in which she transformed herself into the iconic Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, in a very original musical monologue format, written, directed and played by herself. “Frida Libre” became the greatest theatre success of the last few years in Colombia, having more than 100,000 spectators.
After Flora´s debut album 'Flora' she recorded "Flores para Frida" as a tribute to Frida Kahlo, where Flora gives a jazzy flavor to famous classic Mexican songs such as You Belong to My Heart - Solamente Una Vez , Sway: Quién Será or La Llorona among others. All Flora's recordings were arranged and produced by her husband and jazz pianist Jose Reinoso.
