Growing up on a Spanish island, XNilo was listening to his parents’ old soul records, playing his guitar & out performing with his musician father before developing his sound as a producer & singer/songwriter of Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, and Reggaeton. His musical influences range from Pharrell/N.E.R.D to Tenor Saw & Chronixx and also include his love of the UK Grime/Drum & Bass scene and Afro Beat influences.
With his distinctive vocal sound XNilo found himself collaborating with both sides of the Atlantic and was taken on board by Afro Beat star Davido to record in Nigeria, LA and Atlanta with renowned producer Parker Ighile who’s work includes working with artist like Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, Quincy Jones & Rihanna. Upon returning to the UK Xnilo connected with producer Raf Riley (Etta Bond, Avelino) and others in the UK urban scene. Xnilo released his first single “Que Paso” in 2019 followed by “Your Way”, “Fire” featuring Jahlani which made waves all over Europe.
In 2020 he released his mixtape “Long Time Coming” which features label mate Modulo & a host of other artists including Avelino and Etta Bond. Never one to stay on the side lines XNilo in the same year and amidst much racial tension in the world commissioned the help of Latin producer Luyo for his all Spanish single “No Hay Amor” in support of Black Lives Matter.
Currently Xnilo is getting ready to release “QUEDATE CON ELLA” which will be the first single he will release of his all Spanish project. The song features Andres Babii and Jey Blessing and produced by Luyo. Xnilo focused last year on this special project and spent some time in Miami with Tainy’s Neon16 crew and has also spent time in Jamaica for several months working with Charly Black who will also be another featuring artists for this long-awaited debut. Xnilo is ready to embark in this journey and to engage and connect with his Latin fans, he will be certainly an artist to watch!
