The Coral Palestrina is a Brazilian Catholic musical group founded in 1970 in the city of Apucarana. Under the leadership of nun Custódia Maria Cardoso, the choir is a reference in liturgical music in Brazil after the Second Vatican Council. In the 1980s, the Palestrina Choir began to record the chants of the CNBB Liturgical Hinário.. In the 1990s, nun Custódia was transferred to Curitiba, where she continued her work, launching new musical albums and participating in festive ceremonies. In 2012, the choir was again headquartered in Apucarana, releasing more musical albums. Over these 50 years of existence, the Coral Palestrina recorded more than 45 albums of liturgical music, being the choir with the largest number of albums released in all of Brazil.
